Fondazione Silvers

The purpose of the Foundation is, as stated in its Charter, ‘to support the development of scientific research projects and initiatives in the medical field - with particular reference to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases and specifically of cardiac arrhythmias of genetic origin’.

In other words, the Foundation aims to prevent the sudden cardiac death of so many young people. Cases of sudden death among adolescents and adults are much more frequent than one might think, but the genes responsible for these silent diseases are still mostly unknown.

That is why supporting the research in this field is so crucial.
